Ted E. Cox, age 63, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. Born on May 15, 1947, in Winchester, Ind., he was the son of Charles Edgar and Bertha Eleanor (Engle) Cox.
He graduated from Centerville High School in 1965. Ted married Karen (Paddock) Cox on April 26, 1969. Ted worked for Gradex for many years; he also worked for Miller Pipeline for over 25 years, for which he received a service award, before retiring in 2006. Mr. Cox was a member of Labor & Hod Carriers Local #120.
Surviving him are his wife, Karen (Paddock) Cox of Greenfield; son, Todd (Becky) Cox of Indianapolis; daughter, Tiffany (Jason) White of Greenfield; mother, Bertha Cox; four grandchildren, Katie Cox, Tyler, Josie and Andrew White; siblings, Phyllis Cox, Joe (Norma) Cox, Herman Cox, Dale (Janis) Cox and John (Jane) Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his father, Charles Cox.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will immediately follow with, Pastor Danny Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
