Marvin "Glenn" Allen, 87, of Fairland passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011. He was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Big Stone Gap, Va., to the late Arch and Molly (Collier) Allen.
Mr. Allen retired from the General Motors-Allison Transmission Division, and was a Mason. He also served in the Army Air Corps during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Joan (Wilkinson) Allen; children, Michael Allen, Linda Beattey, and Debra Armstrong; grandchildren, Aaron (Nikki) Armstrong, Shelby Spencer (Ronald) Hellmich, Eric (Jennifer) Allen, and Angie Allen; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Archie Allen and James Allen; and his sisters, Helen (William) McDonald and Cesile Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Buck.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Hendryx Mortuary, 19 E Main Street, New Palestine.
