Tommy D. "Dale" Bruce
Tommy D. “Dale” Bruce, 65, of Ingalls passed away Thursday Aug. 28, 2014, at his residence after a long illness with his devoted wife, family and friends by his side. Dale was born on Jan. 28, 1949, in Evansville to the late Tommy and Coretta (Sumner) Bruce.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He retired from Navistar April 28, 1998, where he was a skilled painter.
He was a member of the Fortville American Legion Post 391 and Ingalls Lions Club. He also enjoyed turkey shooting and hunting, trapping, camping and traveling.
Dale is survived by his wife, Dixie (Hagerman) Bruce of Ingalls; stepchildren, Michelle (Elijah) Goodson of Anderson and Brian Clayton of Pendleton; grandchildren, Jordan (Chelsea) Caulk of Ga., Logan (Kaylee Everhart) Caulk of Ingalls, Emma and Alexandra Goodson of Anderson; great-granddaughter, Aria Everhart; sisters, Rosetta Lawyer and Shirley Bruce, both of Ingalls; brothers, Wayne (Diana) Bruce of Anderson and John Bruce of Nev.; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Tommie K. Cliburn.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 3, 2014, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.
