HANCOCK COUNTY — A company developing a logistics park along the Mt. Comfort Corridor has announced a new tenant for one of the properties and also plans to double the amount of buildings there.

Indianapolis-based Ambrose Property Group intends to add four more distribution buildings to its Mount Comfort Logistics Center on West County Road 300N. The new structures will be on the east side of County Road 400W, across from the original campus, and make for a total of eight properties totaling more than 3.5 million square feet.

Progressive Logistics, an Indianapolis-based third-party logistics firm, will lease a 505,872-square foot building finished earlier this year on the west campus, where it will employ 50 to 100 workers. The building is just east of one leased by Amazon, which began operations last fall.

Scott Sanders, vice president of development for Ambrose, said the firm is excited to have Progressive Logistics at the Mount Comfort Logistics Center.

“We expect demand to remain high at this location, which is why we moved forward with plans to expand the park to provide even more buildings ideal for distribution, logistics and e-commerce,” Sanders said in a news release.

Progressive Logistics offers warehouse space accommodating a variety of industries, including automotive, food, paper, plastics, consumer products, industrial products, containers and packaging, electronics and others.

“Mount Comfort Logistics Center provides us with a state-of-the-art, climate-controlled facility that allows us to continue growing our customer base for best-in-class food-grade storage and services,” said Doug Hayes, principal and president of Progressive Logistics.

With Amazon, Progressive Logistics and a 324,000-square foot confidential build-to-suit property on the west campus, that leaves one 277,020-square foot building available, which will be ready next year.

Plans to start construction on a 752,400-square foot distribution building in fall 2021 are currently underway to kick off the east campus’s development.
