GREENFIELD — Donald Rainwater, the Libertarian Party’s candidate for Indiana governor, will be in town on Sunday, Oct. 18, to speak with voters and share his vision for the state.

The event will take place at Greenfield’s Riley Park at noon. It is hosted by the Libertarian Party of Hancock County.

Rainwater, a software engineer and Navy veteran from Hamilton County, garnered less than 3% of the vote when he ran for the Indiana House of Representatives in 2018, and less than 5% when he ran for governor in 2016. This year, he’s attracted more attention, and more voters, by criticizing Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb’s mask mandate and other COVID-19 response policies. A poll in early September found that 24% of likely voters favored Rainwater.
