GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Community Foundation awarded a $987.44 grant to the Greenfield Police Department to work with students on beautifying street barriers used during the Riley Festival.

The police department will work with the Greenfield-Central High School Art Department to beautify the barricades and create a more pleasing appearance at the festival entrance, according to a press release from the community foundation. The art students plan to design community-themed paintings and murals on the barricades.
