The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Oct. 16

Circle K

Location: 2224 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC – must install three-compartment sink and hand sink in back area so dishes/equipment can be properly washed, to be corrected by Dec. 1; NC – a mop or service sink cannot be used as a ware washing sink, to be corrected by Dec. 1.

Kinsey’s Italian Cafe

Location: 6383 Broadway, McCordsville

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C – employees need to wash hands before putting on food handling gloves, corrected; C – clean utensils stored on magnetic strip that is not clean, corrected; NC – clean racks where metal trays are stored, to be corrected by Jan. 1; NC – repair ceiling in kitchen so smooth, cleanable and non-absorbent, to be corrected by Jan. 1.

Speedway

Location: 2668 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Location: 2221 W. Main St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C – dish machine is not dispensing sanitizer, corrected; NC – clean walk-in cooler floors under racks and places where build-up is present, to be corrected by Dec. 1.

Location: 1522 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

No violations found.

Qdoba Mexican Grill

Location: 2037 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations found: NC – repair hot water at hand sink, to be corrected by Dec. 1; NC – clean wheels on fryer and cart, to be corrected by Dec. 1.

Location: 1881 N. State St., Greenfield

Violations found: NC/R – clean floors under equipment where build-up is present.
