NEW PALESTINE, INDIANA
Phyllis M. (Loker) Clendinnen, 93, of New Palestine, IN, passed away on October 9, 2017. Phyllis was born June 12, 1924, in Atwood, KS, to Sylvester Loker and Emma (Ohlson) Loker.
She later met and married her husband Leonard Clendinnen in 1945, and he preceded her in death later in 2002. Phyllis had many joys in life, including gardening, needlework, watching birds, and watching her favorite sports. However, she found that her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family and rocking her babies.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Mike) Roberts; her son, Darrell (Nancy) Clendinnen; twelve grandchildren; many, many great-grandchildren; as well as two great-great-grandchildren whom she loved very much.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her siblings, Marjie Loker-Lynch; Adrian Loker; Keith Loker; Audrey (Loker) Larson; and Aubrey Loker.
Services for Phyllis will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to service, at Hendryx Mortuary – New Palestine Chapel, 19 East Main St., New Palestine, IN 46163. Burial will follow in New Palestine Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis’ name to the Carrollton United Methodist Church or to a charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
