Restaurant Inspections – August 29

The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

June 14

Hardee’s

Location: 1881 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: NC/R — clean floors under equipment, corners and coving to remove grease build-up and residue, to be corrected by Sept. 1.

June 15

Burger King

Location: 2706 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — containers storing food contact equipment and utensils need to be clean to sight and touch, to be corrected by Sept.1; NC — protect lids at drive-thru from contamination of lid interior, invert lids so handled from exterior, corrected.

June 20

Circle K

Location: 1136 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C/R — chili and cheese sauce not hot enough, corrected; C/R — expired Landshire sandwiches and burrito, corrected; C — utensil/tong at roller foods must be cleaned and sanitized every four hours, to be corrected by June 13; NC — paper towels must be provided at all hand-washing sinks, corrected; C — sanitizing solution in spray bottles is testing at high concentration, corrected.

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill

Location: 1792 N. State St., Greenfield

Type of Inspection: Routine

Violations: C — cheese sauce exceeding date-marking, corrected; C — soufflé/dipping cups need to be clean to sight and touch, corrected.
