The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are labeled “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

Violations found: C – pizza temperature at 120 degrees instead of 135 degrees, service called, corrected/discarded.

Violations found: C – need to date-mark all yogurt/smoothie mixes and store at 41 degrees or below for a maximum of seven days once opened, corrected/discarded; C – evidence of pests in cabinet with protein powder containers and other storage materials, clean and monitor, to be corrected by June 2; C – chlorine used for sanitizing food contact surfaces cannot have additional thickeners or scents added, to be corrected by May 7; NC – buckets used for smoothie machine need to be stored so they are not exposed to dust and other contamination, corrected.
