The Hancock County Health Department inspects restaurants four times annually, and violations are determined as “C” for critical, “NC” for noncritical and “R” for repeated violations. The following inspections are based on information obtained from Retail Food Inspection Reports.

March 23

Bamboo Garden Buffet

Location: 2160 N. State Road 9, Greenfield.

Type of Inspection: Routine.

Violations: C — dish washer needs to wash hands after handling dirty dishes and before handling clean dishes, hands need to be washed with warm water, soap and dried with disposable towel, corrected; C — sanitize all food contact surfaces after use and before storage, corrected; NC — gap under back door, 60 days; NC — improper thawing of food observed, corrected.

Violations: C — outdated product found in walk-in cooler, corrected, discarded; C — dish washing machine not dispensing sanitizer, use three-compartment sink until repaired, corrected.

Violations: C/R — customer reach-in cooker too warm, needs to keep food at 41 degrees or below, corrected.
