John R. Irvine, 87, Greenfield, passed away April 25, 2014. He was born in Indianapolis on Aug. 10, 1926. John served in the Navy during WW II and the Korean War.
John is survived by his wife, of 58 years, Joyce Ann (Sherman) Irvine; his sons, John “Rusty” Irvine, Jerry Irvine, Perry Irvine, and Keith (Madren) Irvine; his grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Brooke, Jenna, Austin, Nathan and Megan and his siblings, Joy, Victor, Karlyn, Jimmy, and Lauren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Leanhardt.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014, at the funeral center. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park East. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Hancock Regional Hospital Hospice Care or the American Alzheimer’s Association.
