Edwin A. Stein, 85, of New Palestine, died on Aug. 15, 2012. He was born on Aug. 8, 1927, in Indianapolis, and he was the son of Anselm Anthony and Ilene (Regadanz) Stein. Edwin served in the U.S. Navy from 1945–1949.
Surviving him are his wife, Jeanette Stein of New Palestine; son, Kurt (Karen) Stein of Fishers; daughter, Cheryl Stein of Australia; grandchildren, Michelle, Colleen, Nicole, Ashley, Christopher, and Casey; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Madelynn, and Skylar.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Karen Lyon; parents; sister, Evelyn Fisher; and son-in-law, Bruce Lyon.
There will be no services. Burial will take place at a later date at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
