Santa has mailboxes in communities

FORTVILLE — Spreading some Christmas love can take many forms. Sometimes it looks like gift cards that will help families afford Christmas presents. Or it might look like appreciation for local teachers as the end of a semester draws near.

Some years, the Christmas season feels more like struggle than celebration. With that in mind, several local congregations and others have events planned to offer a supportive, understanding space to navigate the holidays.

“Do You Hear What I Hear?” was written in 1962, a time in American history where the threat of war and instability were very much concerning. The race to the moon had just been established, the country was in the middle of the Cold War, and the Cuban Missile Crisis had just begun.

Christmas Services
