Santa has mailboxes in communities

GREENFIELD – Local communities are encouraging children to mail their letters to Santa in special mailboxes to get a reply.

The mailbox in McCordsville Town Hall is located in the lobby, 6280 W. 800N. The letter should include a return address for a reply. The building is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Greenfield Parks and Recreation is also encouraging letters. Any child who writes a letter and includes a self-addressed stamped envelope and drops it in a designated mailbox may get a response mailed back. Santa mailboxes are located at Depot Street Park and the Patricia Elmore Center in Riley Park. The deadline to place a letter in the mailbox is Sunday, Dec. 18.
