INDIANAPOLIS
Patrick O’Neill, age 63, of Indianapolis, passed away, Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at his home. Born on February 9, 1960, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Jerry David O’Neill and Janice L. (Spaulding) O’Neill. He graduated from Greenfield Central High School in 1978. Patrick later received his associate degree in telecommunications from Ivy Tech Community College in 2013. During Desert Storm, he served in the United States Marine Corps as a corporal officer.
For over 16 years, he worked at Fairchild Communications as an audio/visual engineer. In his free time, he enjoyed oil painting and playing the guitar. He was a past member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Patrick is survived by his siblings, Kathleen (Mark) Reger of Wilkinson, Michael (Becky) O’Neill of Shirley and Ann O’Neill of Indianapolis; stepdaughter, Fathom Plummer of Indianapolis; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Sam) Galbraith, Samantha (Ryan) Hoopingarner, Elizabeth (William) Whitlow and Emily Reger; great nieces and nephews, Noah, Carter, Maryn, Gentry, Emryn and Ellis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Janice.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Crown Hill National Cemetery on a later date.
