Marjorie Clay, 86, of Greenfield, formerly of Carthage, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016, at Kindred Healthcare in Greenfield. She was born July 7, 1930, in Henry County a daughter of Alva and Hazle (Montgomery) Roberts.

Marjorie retired from RCA. She was a loving mother, wonderful cook, seamstress and a hard worker. She enjoyed her family and adored her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Woodrow (Karon) Clay of Bradenton, Fld. and Tressie (Thomas) Stevens of Taylorsville, N.C.; grandchildren, Tammy (Geoff) Taylor, Michelle (Danny) Jeffs, Melissa (Chad) Pate; two great grandchildren, Elijah Jeffs and Casey Taylor; siblings, Virginia Stearns, Tommy (Sharon) Roberts, Donna Roberts and Dorothy (Larry) Van Duyn; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Clay; siblings, Margaret Roberts, June Cannell, and James “Rusty” Roberts.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, August 15, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carthage Community Church, Food and Clothing Pantry, PO Box 383 Carthage, IN 46115.
