Londo Ray Brown, age 76, of Fortville, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Oct.11, 1934, to Arcillus and Alice (Crockett) Brown of Jabez, KY.

Londo had been employed at Uniroyal Rubber Company for 28 1/2 years and at Lilly Industries for 15 years before retiring. He enjoyed giving time to his community as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and assisting with coaching in the Optimist Little League program. Londo gave several years to the Fortville community as a Volunteer Police Officer. He was also a member of the Fortville Grace Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband and a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Londo married the love of his life, Norma Jean Callaway. They were blessed with 57 years of marriage.

Londo is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Rebecca “Becky” Brown of Lawrence, Deborah “Debby” Cairns (companion, Andrew Hooten) of Fortville, Martha Martin (W.D.) of Fortville, John Brown (companion, Ellen Kreamelmeyer) of McCordsville, and Aaron Brown (Denise) of Fortville; eleven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and four step-great grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother; four sisters and two brothers; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and grandson, Keith Ray Stephenson.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, at Erlewein Mortuary, 124 E. Staat Street, Fortville. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Grace Baptist Church, Fortville. Minister Mark Kerfoot will officiate. Interment will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
