Kay Dixon, 71, Lapel, died on Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Community Hospital of Anderson following a sudden illness. She was born on Jan.19, 1940, in Rogersville, Ind. to Joe and Alice (Stanley) Roberson.
She is survived by her son, Lloyd E. Dixon, II of Lapel; one daughter, Becky (Stephen) Cline of Indianpolis; one grandson; one sister, Joan (Howard) Wile of Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Lloyd Eugene "Scamp" Dixon.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2011, at Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel with Pastor Steve Holdzkom officiating. Burial followed in Mount Summit Cemetery, Mount Summit.
