Swift-themed community event Thursday

MCCORDSVILLE – A Swiftie Summer Singalong is coming up this week in McCordsville.

Bring your blanket or lawn chairs to McCordsville Town Hall Park from 6-7:30 p.m. this Thursday, June 13. Once Upon a Princess will be performing, and participants will make friendship bracelets. The park is located at 6280 W. 800N., McCordsville. The event is hosted by the Vernon Township Public Library. Learn more at vtpl.lib.in.us.

Lincoln event coming to HCPL

GREENFIELD – Meet an Abraham Lincoln impersonator the evening before Flag Day as he recounts his formative boyhood in Indiana, where he loses his mother and sister, teaches himself to read and learns the value of hard work.

Danny Russel as Abraham Lincoln is an all-ages event at 6:30 p.m. June 13 at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield.

Strawberry Festival to benefit local charities

GREENFIELD — The sweet taste of summer will be celebrated in the 40th annual Greenfield Strawberry Festival this Friday.

Featuring live entertainment, fresh and frozen berries top ice cream and homemade shortcake at the corner of Pennsylvania and Main streets in Greenfield. The event, hosted by Bradley United Methodist Church, is from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is $8 at the door; proceeds benefit eight local nonprofit organizations located in or near the downtown district.

Brandywine Car Show this Saturday

GREENFIELD – The Brandywine Car Show is coming up June 15.

Registration is free and is open the day of the show from 9-11 a.m. at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road, Greenfield. The event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 15 featuring prizes, a live band, bounce house, corn hole and food. Donations are accepted, benefiting the World Renewal Nick Fiano Memorial Missions Fund.
