Fortville Elementary School students took part in the Kindy 500 May 10. The Fortville Police Department also took part, and posted a playful spin about it afterward on social media: “Detective Graffitti and Officer Chapple were called to assist FES kindergarten staff with reports of out of control drivers on the Kindy 500 track. Once officers arrived they observed multiple accidents and infractions. The officers took action and issued numerous citations to these underage drivers. After talking with staff members, the officers agreed not to submit the citations and let all drivers off with a warning. We want to thank FES kindergarten staff for allowing our officers to participate in such a fun event! We look forward to seeing more police cars next year.” The Daily Reporter frequently features photos of the local community, taken by members of our community.
