Eastern Hancock placed first in six events, four from freshman Bella Sotelo, and won the Mid-Eastern Conference Girls Track and Field Championship Friday at Wes-Del High School.

Eastern Hancock was runner-up in the boys’ conference meet.

Sotelo won the 100-meter (12.58 seconds) and 200-meter (26.6) dashes and the 100-meter (14.94) and 300-meter (45.44) hurdle races.

Ellie Meyer won the high jump (5-4) and the Royals won the 4×100-meter relay (54.45 seconds).

Eastern Hancock scored 120 points. Shenandoah was second with 105. Other team scores were: Daleville 89, Wapahani 86, Randolph Southern 60.5, Monroe Central 54, Union 25.5, Wes-Del 20, Blue River Valley 13, Cowan 6.

Wapahani won the boys event with 162 points. Eastern was a close second with 138.

Eastern’s Brandon Metz won the 3200-meter run (10:17.72) and Hayden Jackson won the long jump (20-feet, 2-inches).

Other team scores in the boys meet were: Blue River Valley 82, Monroe Central 63, Shenandoah 49, Wes-Del 38, Daleville 25, Cowan 19, Randolph Southern 7.
