Homeschool curriculum sale May 15

GREENFIELD – A homeschool curriculum sale is coming up May 15.

An American Heritage Girls troop is hosting the sale as a fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 at Park Chapel Christian Church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road, Greenfield.

Lunch and bake sale items will be available for purchase, as well as several local homeschoolers selling books and educational materials.

Carnival to benefit Zoey’s Place Child Advocacy Center

GREENFIELD – A carnival is coming to the Hancock County Fairgrounds May 18, benefiting Zoey’s Place Child Advocacy Center.

Zoey’s Place Carnival will be from noon to 3 p.m. at the Hancock County Fairgrounds and will include bounce houses, games, prizes, live music and more. Cost is $15 per kids game wristband, which includes carnival games and all bounce houses; $20 for an elite game pass which adds face painting and animal activities to the carnival games and bounce houses. Birding group events open this month

GREENFIELD – Greenfield Birders are hosting community bird watching events at local parks this spring and summer.

The group, in collaboration with Greenfield Parks and Recreation and the National Audubon Society, will host events to gather and view birds at 8 a.m. May 11 and 8 a.m. May 25 at Thornwood Nature Preserve, 1606 S. Morristown Pike, Greenfield. There will be two events to view birds each month now through October at Beckenholdt and Brandywine parks, and Thornwood Nature Preserve. PIN camp registration open

GREENFIELD – Registration is open for the Plug Into Nature Camp at Nameless Creek Camp.

The day camp is July 8-12 offering children entering third- through fifth-grades a five-day experience with nature exploration, arts and crafts, sports and more.
