GREENFIELD – Kevin Mandrell, Republican candidate for State Representative of District 53, recently announced in a press release that he has received an endorsement from State Senator for District 28, Michael Crider.

Sen. Crider currently serves as the Majority Whip and Chairman of the Homeland Security and Transportation Committee and was elected senator in 2012 after the retirement of Bev Gard, who has also endorsed Mandrell.

Sen. Crider said he believes that Mandrell will be an effective state representative for District 53.

“I have had the privilege of working closely with Kevin Mandrell and know his character, his experiences and his background will make him effective from day one,” said Sen. Crider in the press release. “With the rising costs of healthcare as a big topic, Kevin can bring first-hand experience to the legislature to help craft effective legislation to reduce healthcare costs for Hoosiers. I am proud to endorse him for State Representative.”

Mandrell expressed his gratitude for Sen. Crider’s endorsement, stating in the release, “I am honored to receive the endorsement of Senator Mike Crider. Senator Crider is beloved across the district because people know he represents our values and will listen to them, just as I intend to do if elected to be the next State Representative.”

The Republican primary election is May 7, 2024.
