Bike share program opens back up

GREENFIELD – The city’s Bike Share Program is open again for the season.

Bicycles are available at Brandywine Park, Depot Street Park and the Riley Park Splash Pad. Bike renting is free, but a credit card must be placed on reservation in case of incidentals. Download the “On Bike Share” app and find “Greenfield Parks and Recreation” system name.

Donut Dash coming soon to Pennsy Trail

GREENFIELD – Go for a run, grab a donut and support Alternatives Inc. In an event April 27.

Alternatives Inc.’s 2024 Donut Dash 5K supports domestic and sexual violence survivors. The event is at 9 a.m. April 27 at Depot Street Park, 251 Depot St., Greenfield. At sign-up pick between competitive or casual run/walk. The route goes down the Pennsy Trail with donuts at the turnaround spot at Brandywine Park and the finish line. Tickets are $15 for adults and free for children under 12 at eventbrite.com.

Market to benefit Hope Center Indy

NEW PALESTINE – Help raise awareness and end human trafficking in the Gather Hope Market.

Set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday, the market will feature handmade items for purchase at Hope Center Indy, 11850 Brookeville Road, Indianapolis.

Swift party coming to Riley home

GREENFIELD – Celebrate Taylor Swift’s latest album in a local event that ties Greenfield’s famous poet to the pop star.

Mr. Riley’s Taylor Swift Album Party will be 6-8 p.m. this Thursday at the James Whitcomb Riley Boyhood Home, 250 W. Main St., Greenfield.

KidsPlay to perform spring show

GREENFIELD – Tickets are available now for the upcoming children’s theater production of “The Doctor Is In” by KidsPlay Inc.

Performances are at 7 p.m. April 19 and April 20; and 2 p.m. April 21 at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts in downtown Greenfield. “Grease” coming to MVHS

FORTVILLE — “Grease” is the word at Mt. Vernon High School this month.

The musical performance of “Grease: School Version” is April 25-28 at the MVHS theater. Show times are 7 p.m. April 25; 7 p.m. April 27; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 27; and 2 p.m. April 28. Advance tickets online are $16 for adults and $12 for children 18 and younger. At the door tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for children. The production is recommended for ages 6 and up.
