Former congressman endorses Mandrell

GREENFIELD – According to a press release, former 6th District Congressman Luke Messer has endorsed Kevin Mandrell, Republican candidate for State Representative District 53.

Messer, known for prioritizing education in legislation and “his alignment with the values of the district,” said that believes Mandrell is the right choice in representing Hancock and Madison counties at the state level. Messer served as Chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee in Congress, a former State Representative, and as Executive Director of the Indiana Republican Party.

“Kevin Mandrell has the experience and leadership qualities necessary to effectively represent Hancock and Madison Counties at the Statehouse,” said Messer in the press release. “His dedication to serving his community and ability to be effective on day one will make him well-suited for this role.”

According to the press release, Messer and Mandrell have known each other for many years, with Mandrell admiring Messer’s conservative values and commitment to education.

“I am grateful to receive the endorsement of former Congressman Luke Messer,” said Mandrell in the press release. “Luke’s dedication to improving education and his commitment to conservative values are qualities that resonate with the people of District 53. I appreciate his support, especially with his knowledge of what is important to those in the district I seek to represent.”
