Line dance, fitness classes open in McCordsville
MCCORDSVILLE – The town of McCordsville is offering line dance and fitness classes.
There’s still room to sign up for July and August line dance classes, which are $10 each session. Those who want to be added to the wait list for any of the April, May or June classes can email [email protected]. For more and the link to register, visit facebook.com/townofmccordsville.
Pound Fitness classes are coming up May 2, 4, 9 and 11. For details, visit facebook.com/townofmccordsville. The town will also begin Market in McCordsville and Cars & Coffee events, May through October on select Saturdays.

GREENFIELD – Greenfield sales associates of F.C. Tucker were recently honored for their 2023 accomplishments at the company’s annual awards banquet in Indianapolis.

Parker to meet with community for ice cream
FORTVILLE – Superintendent Dr. Jack Parker of Mt. Vernon schools will be hosting a “traveling talk” event this week.
Parker will be at Libby’s Ice Cream and Gifts at 7 p.m. Thursday. The event is an opportunity for members of the community to informally meet with the superintendent and share their thoughts, questions and concerns about the schools. No reservation is necessary.
The business is located at 11 S. Main St., Fortville and participants receive $1 off ice cream.

GREENFIELD – Planning for this year’s Hancock County Community Night is already underway and sponsorship opportunities are available.
The eighth annual summer event is scheduled for July 17 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. The event features family-friendly educational booths with public safety officers, firefighters, nonprofit organizations and more. Public safety demonstrations, produce giveaways, car seat safety checks, bounce houses and food will be featured, as well as a backpack giveaway.
