Community night sponsorships available

GREENFIELD – Planning for this year’s Hancock County Community Night is already underway and sponsorship opportunities are available.

The eighth annual summer event is scheduled for July 17 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. The event features family-friendly educational booths with public safety officers, firefighters, nonprofit organizations and more. Public safety demonstrations, produce giveaways, car seat safety checks, bounce houses and food will be featured, as well as a backpack giveaway.

Special Olympics to host bowling fundraiser

GREENFIELD — Special Olympics of Hancock County will benefit from an upcoming fundraiser at Strike Force Lanes, 1549 W. Main St., Greenfield.

The third annual Noah Glover Memorial Scotch Doubles event is from 5-7:30 p.m. April 20.

The annual bowling fundraiser allows Special Olympics to continue its mission of providing individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to participate in sports.

Cost is $50 per team of two and includes three games of bowling and a shoe rental. The event will also feature a silent auction and bake sale. For more, visit facebook.com/soinhancockcounty or email [email protected].

Line dance lessons offered by McCordsville Parks

MCCORDSVILLE – Line dancing lessons are offered in McCordsville through McCordsville Parks and Recreation.

Lessons are Wednesdays in April, May and June and are $10 each session. April sessions are already sold out, and spots are limited for May 15, May 29, June 12 and June 26. Call 317-335-5113 for details or visit mccordsville.org.

Earth Day event coming to Fortville

FORTVILLE – Celebrate Earth Day at a family event at the Vernon Township Public Library.

Drop by the library between 1-2 p.m. April 20 to pick up wildflower seed mix, create an Earth Day suncatcher, customize a garden marker and learn about ways to protect the planet. The library is located at 625 E. Broadway St., Fortville. For more information, visit vtpl.lib.in.us.
