Churches welcome eclipse watchers

HANCOCK COUNTY — Several churches have eclipse watch parties planned for Monday. Check eclipseinhancock.org to find out more about these and other eclipse events, as many require reservations and/or have limited spots remaining.

Bethel Baptist Church: Lot opens at 9 a.m. and closes when at capacity for parking spots. At noon, there will be provided sack lunches and a devotion.

Community Christian Church: Viewing party from 2-5 p.m.

Cross of Grace Lutheran Church: 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. in parking lot and ball field

Fairview United Methodist Church: Camping from 10 a.m. Saturday (April 6) to 10 a.m. Tuesday

McCordsville United Methodist Church: Parking and viewing from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

New Life Christian Fellowship: 2-4 p.m. gathering with lawn chairs and snack

New Palestine Bible Church: noon to 4 p.m. with food truck and astronomer Dr. Ron Samec

St. Michael Catholic Church and School: Viewing party from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with parking and food available

Sugar Creek Baptist Church: Viewing party from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Registration fee covers a pair of viewing glasses, two meals, lawn games, a bounce house, and a post-eclipse gospel concert by Bryan and Yvonne Hutson.

Quartet coming to Greenfield Faith

GREENFIELD — The Gospel Servants quartet will sing in a service at 9:30 a.m. April 14 at Greenfield Faith Church, 328 N. Swope St.

‘Grief and Caregiving’ workshop is free

GREENFIELD — A free workshop is coming, “Grief and Caregiving: How do either grief or caregiving test our faith and yet grow it deeper?”

The Rev. Russ Jarvis, lead chaplain at Hancock Regional Hospital, will lead the workshop from 6-8:30 p.m. May 8 at Greenfield Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 23 N. East St.

There is no fee for the workshop, but registration is required by May 1 by calling the church office at 317-462-6348 or sending email to [email protected].

Gospel trio to perform

GREENFIELD — The gospel trio Victorious will sing in a service at 10:30 a.m. May 5 at Curry’s Chapel Church, 3488 N. CR 375E.
