Adult prom to raise funds for NP foundation

NEW PALESTINE — “Prom of the Century” is coming up in April, giving adults a chance to celebrate in a decades-themed party and raise money for the New Palestine Education Foundation.

The event for ages 21 and older is from 6-11 p.m. April 12 at Adaggios Banquet Hall and Event Center, 5999 W. Memory Lane, Greenfield. The event raises money for the foundation, which doles out teacher grants and student scholarships through New Palestine Community Schools each year.

The annual gala focuses on a different theme each year; last year’s casino-themed event netted more than $23,000. This year’s theme encourages attendees to dress up in their finest prom wear celebrating any decade from the 1950s through the 2000s. Guests can expect to see poodle skirts, flowers and peace signs, high ’80s hair and more. There will be a variety of fundraising games, photo opportunities, and a prom king and queen. The 2024 NPHS Distinguished Alumni honoree will also be announced.

Tickets are $80 for individuals or $150 per couple and includes a three-course pasta dinner. To purchase tickets or learn more, visit newpaledfoundation.com/gala.
