Egg-citement is building: Easter events abound this Saturday in Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY – Families can get into the springtime spirit in several Easter-themed community events this weekend.

Egg hunts abound in Hancock County, and many of them are this Saturday. Here’s a look at free local events March 30 to celebrate the season:

Easter Bunny Visit, 9 a.m. to noon, McCordsville Town Hall, 6280 W. 800N., McCordsville. Bring your own camera for a free photo-op with the bunny and cookies while supplies last.

Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m., Riley Park, Greenfield. Bradley United Methodist Church hosts this event for the community annually near the pavilion across from the Old Log Jail on Apple Street.

Easter Eggstravaganza fundraiser event, 9-11 a.m., Leo’s Market and Eatery, 2212 W. Main St., Greenfield. Event features Easter eggs, Leo the bunny, goodie bags, face painting and more; 20% of all Eatery proceeds from 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. will benefit Bentley’s Buddies and Friends.

Eggstravaganza, 10 a.m. to noon, New Palestine Bible Church, 5954 W. 300S., New Palestine. Crafts, games, an egg hunt and an Easter story time are available at the community event.

Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m., Mt. Comfort Church, 3179 N. 600W., Greenfield. Age-group hunts in a free community event that includes crafts, door prizes and the Easter story. Visit mtcomfortchurch.com for more.

Eggs-Travaganza, 10 a.m., Gateway Community Church, 125 E. Staat St., Fortville. Annual Easter egg hunt for kids and youth, along with carnival games and art stations.

Easter Egg Hunt, 11 a.m. Easter Bunny arrives on a fire truck at Sugar Creek Park, 4197 S. 700W.; event hosted by the town of New Palestine. Hunt begins at 11:30 a.m.

Easter Egg Hunt, 11 a.m., Shirley Masonic Lodge, 110 Varner St., Shirley. Refreshments and prizes will be available in the annual event to scour the countryside looking for the rabbit’s treasure.

Easter Eggstravaganza, 11 a.m., Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church, 994 N. 600E., Greenfield. Registration and activities start at 10 a.m. for the family event that features balloon animals, pictures with the Easter Bunny, popcorn and more.

Easter Celebration, 1-4 p.m., Calvary Bible Methodist Church, 4465 N. Fortville Pike, Greenfield. Hunt eggs, eat cookies and learn what Easter is all about.
