The undefeated conference champions, to no surprise, had the most members on the all-conference team.
Eastern Hancock’s girls basketball team, undefeated Mid-Eastern Conference champions for the second straight year, led the 10-member league with three selections on its All-MEC team.
Seniors Sammie Bolding and Ruby White and freshman Kenzie Koch represented the Royals on the 16-member team that included at least one member of each of the nine teams that had a girls basketball participant this winter. Wes-Del did not play a conference schedule this year.
The trio helped lead the Royals to sectional and regional championships and a spot in the Class 2A Final Four.
Bolding was the team’s second leading scorer, averaging 13.6 points per game. She also went over the 1,000-career point mark this season.
In addition, the 5-4 guard made a team-best 53 3-point field goals. She shot 80 percent from the free throw line and averaged 2.4 steals, and 2.4 rebounds per game.
A 5-8 point guard, Koch led the Royals in scoring (18.4 points per game), assists (2.9) and steals (2.8). She had 36 3-point field goals and shot 82 percent from the charity stripe.
White, a 6-1 forward, was also a double-figure scoring, averaging 10.6 points per game. She led the Royals in rebounding (5.6) and blocks (1.8). She shot 57 percent from the field.
