Re-enactors wait for Jesus in Pilate’s Hall during the 2023 Journey to Easter. Bethel Baptist Church in Greenfield plans to offer the dramatic walk-through again this year.

Journey to Easter returns

GREENFIELD — Bethel Baptist Church will again present Journey to Easter, a dramatic walk-through with scenes “showing the life and compassion of Jesus,” according to a press release from the church.

The walk-through takes about an hour. Those who go begin at the heated Welcome Tent outside the church, 1610 S. State St. After warm beverages and light refreshments there, a tour guide leads the group to the building where the drama takes place.

Tickets are free and can be reserved at bethelbcg.org. From the main page, scroll down and select the day you want. Showtimes are 1-8 p.m. March 29 and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. March 30.

There’s also a place on the site to reserve a tour conducted in American Sign Language or Spanish.

Free dinner is Thursday

CUMBERLAND — St. John United Church of Christ will serve a free community meal from 5-6:30 p.m. Thursday. The church is located at 11910 E. Prospect St. Everyone is welcome.

Spaghetti dinner supports church camp

GREENFIELD — An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will raise money to support church camp this summer.

The dinner is set for 5 p.m. March 23 at Apostolic Pentecostal Church, 1202 E. Fifth St. Cost is $10 per person.

Chili cookoff seeks entries

FORTVILLE — A chili cookoff and silent auction will raise money for church youth camps and convention trips.

It’s set for 5 p.m. April 6 at Mt. Vernon High School’s cafeteria.

It benefits youth of Fortville Church of the Nazarene and Fishers Point, who have a combined youth group.

Youth Conference continues today

GREENFIELD — The United Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ’s 35th annual National Youth Conference continues today (March 16) at Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

“His Voice” is this year’s theme. Lia Matthews spoke Friday and will be the speaker in a service at 4 p.m. March 16.

Sandi Martt will be featured in the service at 11 a.m. March 16. The breakout session takes place at 2 p.m. March 16.

‘Left Behind’ trilogy to be shown

GREENFIELD — Curry’s Chapel Church’s monthly Movies with a Point series continues Saturday (March 16) with a trio of “Left Behind” movies.

“Left Behind” will be shown at 3:45 p.m., followed by “Left Behind 2: Tribulation Force at 5:30 p.m. and “Left Behind 3: World at War” at 7:15 p.m.

Refreshments will be served.
