MUNCIE — New Palestine sophomore Lynzie Stiller finished 23rd in the all-around competition at Saturday’s IHSAA Gymnastics State Finals held at Worthen Arena on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie.

Stiller had a total score of 33.650. The all-around competition was won by Crown Point’s Elsie Kiran with a score of 38.425.

The two-time New Palestine state qualifier had a best individual event placing of a tie for 26th on vault. She scored 9.05. Kiran won the event with a 9.725. Stiller was 28th on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 8.575. Franklin Central’s Austyn Dykes won with a 9.625.

Stiller placed tied for 40th on the balance beam with a total of 7.7. Dykes won with a 9.575. On floor exercise, Stiller tied for 42nd with an 8.325. Kiran won on floor with a 9.550.

Crown Point won the team competition with a score of 113.150.

It was Stiller’s second year at the state meet and first time competing in the all-around competition. She competed in three of four events as a freshman.
