County council member endorses Mandrell for state representative of District 53

Greenfield — Kevin Mandrell, Republican candidate for state representative of District 53 announced in a press release an endorsement from Hancock County Council member Robin Lowder.

Lowder also served as the county auditor for 10 years, where the two worked together first-hand on employee benefits.

“During my time as County Auditor, I had the privilege of working closely with Kevin Mandrell on employee benefits for the county,” said Lowder in the press release. “Kevin was always diligent, professional, and conducted business with the highest integrity in his work for the county’s best interests. I am proud to endorse him for State Representative, his vast experiences make him the clear choice in this race.”

Mandrell said in the release that he was grateful for Lowder’s endorsement, and that “Her dedication to Hancock County is evident, and I am honored to have her support. She has been one of the top vote getters in Hancock County, proving that voters trust her and her judgment.”

Mandrell has also received endorsements from former mayor Chuck Fewell and former state senator Bev Gard.

The primary election is on May 7, with early voting starting April 9. The voter registration deadline to be eligible to vote in the primary election is April 8.
