GREENFIELD – Anna Voorhis was recently named operations manager at the Hancock Economic Development Council.

Spring hike planned for Thornwood Preserve

GREENFIELD – Learn about how the Spring Equinox plays a role in the environment in an upcoming spring hike hosted by Greenfield Parks and Recreation.

MV to host teacher recruitment event

FORTVILLE – Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation will have a teacher recruitment event at 6 p.m. March 5.

The event guarantees an interview. Bring a resume and cover letter; a presentation will begin at 6 p.m. with a new teacher panel, videos and student speakers. No reservation is necessary. Parks summer camp registration opening

GREENFIELD – Kids Kamp registration opens March 4 through Greenfield Parks and Recreation.

The eight-week summer camp runs June 3 through July 26 and includes art, education, sports and more. Cost is $55 for registration, $60 for a field trip fee and $100 per week for residents, $110 per week for non-residents. Payment is for the entire summer program, regardless of whether children leave early or take a break for a vacation.

Storytimes for young learners starting up

HANCOCK COUNTY – Local libraries will host storytimes for young children throughout the month of March.
