The 114th Annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament will begin Tuesday with three of Hancock County’s four programs in sectional round action at Greenfield-Central High School and Triton Central High School.
Sectional champions will be determined Saturday, March 2.
The Greenfield-Central tournament, a seven-team tournament which includes the host school, Mt. Vernon and New Palestine is Class 4A Sectional 9 and the Triton Central tourney, a five-teamer that includes Eastern Hancock is Class 2A Sectional 42.
Rivals New Palestine and Mt. Vernon meet at 7 p.m. at Dellen Automotive Gymnasium to open play at the Greenfield-Central Sectional Tuesday. Eastern Hancock takes on Scecina 7 p.m. Tuesday to start play at Triton Central. Greenfield-Central begins its postseason 7:30 p.m. Wednesday against Anderson.
One-game regional championships will take place Saturday, March 9.
