GREENFIELD
Ruth Ann Hinton McClarnon, age 86, of Greenfield, passed away February 17, 2024, at Traditions at Brookside, McCordsville. She was born in Rushville, Indiana on November 14, 1937, to Ferda and Frances (Ryckman) Montgomery. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1956 and attended college. She worked for FC Tucker as a realtor for over 30 years. She was a member of Park Chapel Church and Greenfield Christian Church. She was also a member of the Million Dollar Club with FC Tucker, and MIBOR.
Ruth was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother, and a wonderful friend to many. She is survived by her daughters, Julia (Jeffery) Peper of Greenfield, and Barbara (Michael) Giacomelli of Noblesville; step-children, Michael (Carol) McClarnon, and Randall (Jennifer) McClarnon, both of Greenfield; grandchildren, Mitchell (Katie) Peper, and Brooklyn (Daniel) McKenzie; step-grandchildren, Mistelle (David) Bean, Brandon (Stacee) McClarnon, Kristen (Wade) Whipple, and Clarissa (Chris) O’Neal; and great- grandchildren, Evelyn, Elias, Madison, and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ralph Hinton; second husband, JB McClarnon; siblings, Tom Montgomery, Lee Montgomery, Kenny Montgomery, Helen Turner, and Darlene Young; and brother-in-law, Danny Mathews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Mark Mathews will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
