GREENFIELD
Kathy Lynn (Wells) Hostetler, age 61, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Community North. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 4, 1962, to Robert &Lenora (Smith) Wells. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1981. Mrs. Hostetler received her bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Indianapolis. She married Kurt Hostetler on September 6, 2006.
She was the owner of Wells Nursery &Greenhouse in Greenfield for 11 years. Kathy loved flowers and gardening, researching ancestry, all kinds of wildlife with gibbons being her favorite.
She is survived by her husband, Kurt Hostetler; son, Gibbie Wayne Hostetler; brothers, Mike &Kent Wells, along with Sarah Wells, Lillian Matthews, Matthew and Jamie Wells, Gracie Wells, Brian Wells, Emily Loveall, Aaron &Chelsie Wells, and Brielle &Lexa Wells. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert &Lenora (Smith) Wells and her brother, Gary Wells.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Kent Wells will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, Indiana.
