Local center offers free meals with groceries

GREENFIELD – Enjoy a free meal prior to picking up free groceries at upcoming community events.

Wellspring Food Pantry hosts Community Day Feb. 14 and Feb. 28. A lunch and speaker is from 12:30-1:30 p.m. both days in the atrium of Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road, Greenfield. The food pantry, located at the barn adjacent to the church, will have a drive-through grocery pickup from 1:30-3 p.m. both days.

Trivia night to benefit EH Education Foundation

CHARLOTTESVILLE – Eastern Hancock Education Foundation will host a trivia night, and the winning team gets to choose a teacher to receive a classroom grant worth $500.

The event is at 6 p.m. March 8. Teams of six to eight people are encouraged; the $40 per person ticket includes dinner. The event will be at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. Community development course this month

GREENFIELD – A community development course designed for elected officials, community leaders and engaged citizens is coming up at The Thrive Center in Greenfield.

Ball State University Indiana Communities Institute will host its Community Development Course Feb. 27-29 at the center, 971 W. U.S. 40, Greenfield. The free course is in collaboration with the Community Foundation of Hancock County.
