GREENFIELD
Donald D. Grose, age 82, of Greenfield, passed away February 6, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent Carmel. He was born in Greenfield, IN on September 11, 1941, to John &Helen (Gates) Grose. He graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1960. He served in the United States Navy aboard the nuclear submarine tender, the U.S.S. Holland and was stationed in Rota Spain and Morocco. He married his wife of 56 years, Donna (Adams) Grose on January 16, 1966.
He worked in manufacturing for Ford Motor Company, English Ave., where he was employed for over four decades. Donald loved coaching his sons’ various sports teams, fishing and traveling. Most of all he enjoyed being surrounded by friends and loved ones.
He is survived by sons; Adam (Shawn) Grose, Aaron (Tracy) Grose and Brandon (Jaime) Grose; brother, John (Patricia) Grose; sister, Linda Richey; sister-in-law, Jane Grose; seven grandchildren, Julia, Alexis, Jarrett, Kaysen, Rachael, Callen, Alexander; and two great-grandchildren, Brynleigh, and Riverlynn. He is preceded in death by his parents, John &Helen (Gates) Grose; wife, Donna (Adams) Grose; and brother, Larry Grose.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Erlewein Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Erlewein Mortuary with viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Mark Havel will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, IN.
