HANCOCK COUNTY – Viewing lights every December is a beloved holiday tradition, and you don’t have to travel far to see some festive displays.

Two local groups recently honored Hancock County homeowners for their Christmas lights, and viewing them is as easy as getting cozy in a warm car and following a map.

NineStar Connect named three winners in its first Merry and Bright Holiday Lights contest, and gave bill credits as prizes.

New Palestine Main Street recognized 14 homes in its fifth annual Light the Night tour; a map is at tiny.cc/lightthenight5.
