FOUNTAINTOWN
Gloria J. (Bridgewater) Bainter, age 79, of Fountaintown, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Morristown Manor. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 11, 1944 to Morris Bridgewater and Odessa (Inman) Bridgewater. She graduated from Greenfield High School. On June 12, 1965, Gloria married Robert E. Bainter in Greenfield, Indiana.
She was a homemaker for her family. For many years, Gloria was a member of the Greenfield Wesleyan Church, where she was the leader of the Children’s Ministry. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and cooking. She loved spending time with her family. They were the joy of her life.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert; daughters, Angie Muse (David) and Amy Jones (Dan); grandchildren, Olivia Muse, Elizabeth Rogian (Seth), Benjamin Muse, Brittany Hampp (Scott), Caleb Jones (Katie), Emily Keuhn (Cameron) and Ethan Jones; great-grandchildren, Maximus Hampp, Addison Hampp, Jedidiah Jones, Titus Hampp, Gracelyn Hampp, Elijah Jones, Boaz Jones and Odessa Rogian; sister-in-law, Jacky Bridgewater; and brother-in-law, Jerry Pendlum. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Odessa; brother, Morris Wayne Bridgewater; and sister, Nina Pendlum.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Erlewein Mortuary &Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
