McCordsville bazaar is Dec. 9

McCORDSVILLE — Holiday Bazaar and Luncheon is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at McCordsville United Methodist Church, 6247 W. Broadway.

Thirty-three vendor booths feature wares such as RADA knives, gifts, home decor, jewelry, candles, pet toys, Kelly’s Jellies, candles, aprons and more.

A handmade quilt drawing takes place at 2 p.m. Each ticket for the drawing is $10.

A warm lunch will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hymn sing is Sunday in Charlottesville

CHARLOTTESVILLE — A hymn sing is set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Charlottesville Friends Church. It will feature well-known hymns and some Christmas music.

The event is also an opportunity to introduce the church’s new pastor, Gary Jones, and his wife, Nida Jones.

Fred Powers will be song leader, with Rowena Holliday on piano and Janet Shutt on organ.

The church is on Carthage Road, four blocks south of U.S. 40 in Charlottesville.

Bazaar is Dec. 2 in Mt. Comfort

MT. COMFORT — Mt. Comfort Church’s annual Holiday Bazaar is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 2) at the church, 3179 N. County Road 600W, Greenfield.

Artists, craftspeople, home vendors and more will set up booths. A silent auction and sweet shop area also planned.

Presbyterian Women selling cookbooks

McCORDSVILLE — The Presbyterian Women of Christ Presbyterian Church are selling cookbooks.

Each book is $5. Books are available at the church, 7879 N. Carroll Road, McCordsville. Learn more by emailing [email protected].

Handbell choirs to perform

NEW PALESTINE — It’s an invitational for handbell choirs: Each year, Cross of Grace Lutheran Church invites other local handbell choirs to be part of a concert. The choirs ring and share the music they’ve prepared for the Christmas season.

This will be the 18th annual Christmas Ring and Share Handbell Invitational. It’s set for 2-3:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the church, 3519 S. County Road 600W, New Palestine.

Services offer support amid heartache, struggle

Several churches offer support groups or services to help people experiencing loss to navigate the holiday season. These services are open to the community. Two such services are still coming up:
