Dine-to-donate supports missionaries

GREENFIELD — A dine-to-donate event will help support mission partners around the world.

Those who eat at Leo’s Eatery between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m Friday (Dec. 1) can have 20 percent of their purchase price donated to World Renewal. Leo’s Market and Eatery is located at 2212 W. Main St.

World Renewal, with headquarters east of Greenfield, works with mission partners in more than 60 countries. The funds received will help with transportation needs, including replacing a ministry vehicle in Brazil that was stolen and buying a vehicle for a pastor in Haiti, who’s been bicycling for a couple of years since his vehicle broke down.

Bible read-aloud to feature Proverbs

CUMBERLAND — The monthly community Bible read-aloud series continues at Heather Hills Baptist Church with the Gospel of Mark.

Readings will take place at noon Monday and 7 p.m. Wednesday. Past Bible read-alouds have typically lasted about an hour. It takes one hour, 23 minutes, to read through Mark in one sitting, but the group will read part of the book next week. The plan is to finish reading Mark in sessions at noon Dec. 18 and 7 p.m. Dec. 20.

Church leaders say anyone is welcome to come join in the reading, or simply listen. The church is located at 1421 N. German Church Road, Indianapolis.
