Designer purse event planned

GREENFIELD – Tri Kappa will host a Designer Purse Bingo event at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds in Greenfield.

Tickets are $40 for 10 games and includes a light dinner. Extra game packs are $5. There will be raffle items, as well as a 50/50 raffle drawing. Beer and seltzer are available to purchase.

Participants must be 21 or older to attend; cash and check only accepted. Advance tickets are available at Cynthia’s Hallmark or at the door the night of the event if it has not sold out. Tickets are also available through Heather Condra, [email protected] or 317-491-2234. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Lincoln event set for Nov. 11

GREENFIELD – The Hancock County Historical Society is sponsoring a free discussion on Abraham Lincoln, called The Lincoln Roadshow.

The event, commemorating the 160th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address, will include insight into Lincoln’s local impact, including the Lincoln Funeral Train and route it took through Greenfield on April 30, 1865.

Chris Allen, a Lincoln scholar of the Lincoln Special Project, will present at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Chapel in the Park, located at Riley Park in Greenfield. For more information, call 317-462-7780 or visit hancockhistory.org.

Euchre party to benefit soup kitchen

GREENFIELD – A party-style euchre event is planned for Nov. 18, benefiting the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen.

The Elks Club of Greenfield will host the event at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at 820 S. State St., Greenfield. Registration and food starts at 5:30 p.m.; participants must be registered by 6:15 p.m. Dinner baskets and a cash bar is available.

Cost is $10 per person, half to the kitchen and half to the prize pot. There are eight deals per game, eight games total. Winners move to the next table and change partners each game; partners are not needed to participate. The top three scorers win cash prizes. Bring quarters for each euchre.

Rotary seeks acts for talent show

GREENFIELD – The Rotary Club of Greenfield is seeking additional acts for its upcoming Rotary’s Got Talent show.

The show is set for 4 p.m. Dec. 10 at the H.. Ricks Centre for the Arts in downtown Greenfield. The benefit show will raise money for the group’s new Peace Park.
