New music-based storytime coming to HCPL

GREENFIELD – A new, music-based storytime is opening up for young learners at the Hancock County Public Library.

Read, Rock & Roll will be every Thursday for six weeks at 10 a.m. starting Nov. 9. Children ages 2 to 5 with a caregiver are invited to dance, sing and play with musical instruments and props, developing fine and gross motor skills, body awareness and direction following.

The library will also feature its classic storytime series for babies, toddlers and preschoolers each Tuesday and Wednesday. Registration for storytimes open Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. Register at hcplibrary.org. The main branch is located at 900 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield; the Sugar Creek branch is at 5731 W. U.S. 52, New Palestine.
