Household product donations for Love INC

GREENFIELD – A Household and Hygiene Product Drive is open at a local church to benefit Love INC.

St. James Lutheran Church is hosting the drive; products can be dropped off weekdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1741 S. State St., Greenfield. Items can also be dropped off at Love INC, 630 N. State St. Greenfield between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays. Donations may include laundry soap, fabric softener or dryer sheets, trash bags, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, cleaners, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, zipper storage bags, deodorant, body lotion, hand soap, cotton balls, Q tips, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toothpaste.

Backpacks, supplies available at downtown store

GREENFIELD – A local business is hosting a back-to-school event with free supplies for the community.

Back to School Affair is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30 at J & K Market N Style, 16A N. State St., Greenfield. The event will include free backpacks and school supplies, a drink and snack fundraiser, glitter tattoos and balloon animals. Backpacks and supplies are available while supplies last.

Youth Sheep Expo coming up

GREENFIELD – The fourth annual Youth Sheep Expo is coming up July 28-30.

The opportunity for youth exhibitors breeding sheep is open to people from across the country. This year, Hancock County Poss-Abilities is also getting involved, encouraging youth with disabilities to show live stock.

The event begins at 10 a.m. Friday, July 28 at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds. For a complete schedule visit inlivestockassn.org.

Community Foundation seeks art for new building

GREENFIELD – The Community Foundation of Hancock County is seeking art to display in its new building.

The foundation has a call out for local artists to submit art of buildings, architecture and landscapes of Hancock County. The items would be hanging on the walls in at least two locations and would be displayed on at least a quarterly basis. The building is located at 971 W.
