Free concert in downtown Greenfield Friday

GREENFIELD – Kick off a summer of free concerts at Depot Street Park with Endless Summer Band this Friday, June 9.

Opening at Chloe Anna Kenny starts off at 6 p.m. followed by Endless Summer Band as part of Greenfield Banking Company’s Entertainment @ Depot Street Park Series. The park is located at 251 Depot St., Greenfield; bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Trivia fundraiser coming up at vineyard

MCCORDSVILLE – Try trivia and wine in a fundraiser coming up this month.

Friends of Hancock County CASA will host Trivia Night June 15 at Daniel’s Vineyard, 9061 N. 700 W., McCordsville. The third annual fundraiser includes a silent auction, BOGO wine bottles, 50/50 raffles and more. Libraries host summer programs for adults

GREENFIELD – Summer reading club isn’t just for children: The Hancock County Public Library is hosting several book clubs and adult programs this month.

Beginner yoga is at 10 a.m. each Saturday this month at the Sugar Creek branch in New Palestine.

A Brown Bag Book Discussion will be at 11 a.m. June 13 in Beckenholdt Park with a picnic. Writers Helping Writers meets at 6 p.m. June 15 in Greenfield. A culinary class about how to cook with fresh summertime produce will be June 28 and 29 in Greenfield and New Palestine respectively.

Community theater to perform “Play On!”

GREENFIELD – The CrazyLake Acting Company will present “Play On!” June 23 through July 2 at the H.J. Ricks Centre for the Arts.

The “play within a play” is about a theater group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of attempts from the playwright to continually revise the script.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. June 23, 24, 30 and July 1; and 2:30 p.m. July 2. The theater is located at 122 W. Main St., Greenfield. Advance tickets are $10 and are available online at crazylakeacting.com or at Hometown Comics and Games, 1040 N. Main St., Greenfield. Tickets are $15 at the door.

Air show tickets available online

GREENFIELD – Tickets are available now for an air show featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels coming to Hancock County this fall.

Crossroads Air Show will be Oct. 28-29 at the Indianapolis Regional Airport in Greenfield. Parking and admissions tickets can be purchased online and funds from the Crossroad Air Show will support central Indiana scouting groups and Riley Children’s Foundation.

Single-day admission tickets range from $10 for general admission to $1,600 for a table of eight at the Flight Line Club. Photo tours can be purchased as an add-on for $25. General admission is free for youth cub scouts and children ages 5 and under.

Single-day parking passes are required to attend the air show and are not included with an admission ticket. A standard parking pass is $150, motorcycle parking is $50 and bus parking is $500.
