CARTHAGE
Thelma Reddick, 93, a lifelong resident of Carthage passed away Saturday, June 3, 2023 at her residence. She was born on November 7, 1929 in Carthage, a daughter of the late Joshua Eldridge and Lola Francis (Fannin) Stephens.
Thelma was a 1947 graduate of Carthage High School. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, quilting, antique and garage sales where she would add to her glassware collection. She also loved to spend time at Lake Lemon on the pontoon boat and nurture her wild side by taking fast rides on her husband Gene’s motorcycle.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Jim) Zimmerman of Bedford; granddaughters, Amanda (Frank) Miller of Indianapolis, Emily (Andy) Fortner of Orleans, great grandsons, Jaxon Miller and Beckett Fortner; great granddaughter, Annily Fortner; great nephew, Kevin (Lesa) Gabbard of Spencer; great niece, Krista Gabbard; great-great nephews, Corey, Justin, Zackary and Brody; great, great, great niece, Isabella Gabbard; also numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Eugene “Gene” Reddick.
Services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, June 12, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until the time of service on Monday. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Carthage Library.
